About Us

xplor-scuba-team

Xplor Scuba originated from a group of divers with mixed abilities. We all shared the same passion. We had independent instructors wanting to be affiliated to a dive centre. Divemaster’s looking to gain experience, experienced divers wanting to go on organised trips and people wanting to sign up to diving courses. Xplor Scuba ltd opened June 2013, and has continued to grow.

Meet The Team

All of our professionals are volunteers. We feel volunteers have a better influence on students because the enthusiasm they show for their hobby is far more effective than having an employee orientated around a salary. Our dive team consists of a PADI staff instructor, an Open water scuba instructor, Emergency First Response instructors & Divemasters. All of our professionals are first aid qualified, hold a HSE medical & carry professional public liability.

#250385 IDC staff instructor

I have been diving since 2001. I first learnt to scuba dive at the age of 13. Since enrolling onto my open water course, I have progressed through the PADI system to reach a professional rating. Since 2011 I have been a scuba diving instructor, with the end goal of one day becoming a course director.

The things I enjoy about scuba diving would be; diving new places, teaching people to become good divers & learning new things to improve my own diving. The type of diving I enjoy tends to be wreck diving, recently I have taken up cavern diving.

I started diving in 2002 in the warm waters off Gran Canaria and was hooked. I converted from wetsuit diving to drysuit diving several years ago and have never looked back. I enjoy all aspects of diving particularly sea and wreck diving around the coast of England and night diving. I recently started diving using a sidemount configuration and personally believe this is the most efficient way to dive. I will be progressing my diving using sidemount in the future.

What do I like most about diving? You get to meet a lot of like minded people. Some new to diving some who have been diving for many years. All have one common goal….adventure…and to do something different. More than 70% of the earth is covered in water most people only see what is under the water in photos/videos…divers experience it. Every dive is an adventure and no two dives are the same !”
