The Padi Advanced Open-Water course, consists of 5 open-water dives. Each one of these dives are a specific type of diving. This course is different to your open-water because your OW course taught you the basic skills to become a scuba diver. Your AOW course develops your skills for your personal diving environments.
As part of this course there are two mandatory dives, which are the Deep dive & the Navigation dive. The deep dive is a dive beyond 18metres (max 30metres). The navigation dives teaches you how to navigate using a compass and the underwater terrain.
The other 3 dives on this course are for you to decide, to suit your diving requirement’s. The three dives you can choose from include:
As with your open- water, this advanced course does involve independent study. However you only need to complete the knowledge reviews for the 5 adventure dives you are taken part in.
This course is normally scheduled over 2 days. You complete 3 dives on your 1st day and the final 2 on the 2nd day.
Certain specialties such as peak performance buoyancy or dry suit, only need an additional dive to complete that speciality. This can also be completed at the same time.
If you are interested in additional specialities, please discuss this as combination package can be tailored to suit with the possibility of discounted prices.
ALL COURSE MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT INCLUDED
Convert any of your adventure dives into a full specialty qualification. Each specialty goes into more complex detail to give a much better understanding into which way you would like to take your diving.
Alternatively why not enrol onto the PADI Rescue Diver course. This course teaches you the confidence with your own diving skills in order to deal with issues if they were to arise.
